Hi! My name is Maarten, a kid from the eighties (‘81). Born and raised in the Netherlands and now living in the beautiful city of Rotterdam, together with my wife and daughter.

After my study Sport & Economics, I started working in advertising and until 2020 I had various sales and management positions.

2019 was a turning point. With my wife and daughter we made a legendary world trip to Indonesia, Australia and Fiji. And somewhere on a deserted beach on the East coast of Australia I knew. I'm going to do something different in 2020. Don't know what yet, but once back I quitted my job and then there was nothing... Just plenty of time to think about what exactly I wanted to do.

And I soon realized that my 'old' advertising work was very beautiful in terms of storytelling and creating content. But I wanted to do it myself. So not as a sales director but as a content creator. Acid (is my Dutch last name in English) Films was born.

I create ‘awesome content’ for inspiring entrepreneurs and brands. I like to listen to your story, your passion, your goals. And with my camera and/or drone I will capture that. Only with awesome content we can inspire others and make sustainable impact.
